Testimonials

Mirvac Hotels & Resorts: Campbell Steer, National Technical Services Manager:
“Mirvac adopted the Bottle Recycler system in properties owned & managed in the hotel portfolio where practical and economically viable. Initially from a trial with the Packaging Stewardship Forum, we were most impressed with the resulting reduction in recyclable material volumes and signifi cant reduction in carbon emissions required to manufacture new product. The system’s results are noted in Mirvac’s Annual Sustainability Report for public & industry consumption and our policy is, where feasible, to roll out to new properties entering our portfolio.”

Sebel Pier One Sydney: Ron Smith:  "When staff place the bottles in the machine, they know they are recycling and doing something for sustainability.”

Marriott Hotel, Brisbane: Mark Myors,  Food and Beverage Director:
It’s very important to look after the environment and being a green hotel, it’s very important to Marriott that we recycle our waste glass efficiently. We have already seen the benefi ts of the glass pick up service and are pleased to be releasing so much less noise into our local area.”

Melbourne Convention Centre, Southbank, Melbourne
“During our large functions using the machine saves us an enormous amount of space and it's much more convenient to dispose the glass to the loading dock downstairs. The machine saves us large amounts of staff time “

Hilton, Melbourne
During our 2 month trial of BottleCycler here at Hilton we have found many benefits which largely contributed into day to day running of our operation.  The main factors such as less man handling and subsequently saving on our labour cost, saving space, less noise pollution and elimination of unpleasant odours.  We will look forward to having BottleCycler here at Hilton permanently.

Hugo's Lounge and Hugo's Bar Pizza: Ian Young, Operations Manager:
“We have used BottleCycler at Hugos Lounge and Hugos Bar Pizza for about three years and have been extremely happy with the service for that whole time. We had a very large problem with local residents complaining about the noise of our glass removal from the site for quite sometime, which was giving us plenty of trouble with the local Council. By crushing our bottles indoors in the club, BottleCycler helped to eliminate this problem. Also, when we expanded the size of our club, the volume of glass that we now needed to recycle would have been impossible to process in our current space without the space saving benefits from the Bottlecycler glass crushers. I would happily recommend BottleCycler to any venue, as they have been extremely beneficial to our operations in the Hugos Group and the service provided by the staff there has always been top notch.”

The Bathers' Pavilion: Serge Dansereau, Chef/Owner:
I have used BottleCycler for many years and the system was crucial to The Bathers’ Pavilion to expand my business. The space saved gave me the opportunity to open our Bathers’ Beach Kiosk which contributed greatly to the growth of my business. I found the system and the service efficient and professional and would be happy to recommend BottleClycler to any organisation in need of a space saving system for their business.

Melbourne Qantas Club
The BottleCycler has reduced the amount of time required to dispose of the used bottles, is easy to use and allows staff at the Melbourne Qantas Club more time to be with their members.

The Amstel Golf Club, Ranfurlie:  Peter Butler, Manager:
"We have been recycling our empties using BottleCycler for over 3 years and during this time we have been very happy with its performance and the support from BottleCycler Australia. The unit has been installed on the second story of the Ranfurlie Clubhouse which has removed a major OH&S issue of their transportation of bottles and glass down stairs by staff. The system provides a simple and effective storage and transportation option that totally removed the possibilities for staff to be injured via being cut by broken glass. The system also removed the need to store and remove bulky bottles. We would be happy to recommend BottleCycler as an effective and valuable system”

Captain Cook Cruises: Anthony Haworth, Executive Director:
“We’ve found it to be a saving grace not only for the environment but on time, space, noise and OH&S, which are all important factors when working in close quarters like we do on the MV Sydney 2000”

Silk Road, Collins Street: Ben Kissane, Bar Operations Manager:
“We would be lost without our Bottlecycler, with the amount of glass waste we have on Friday night alone we would not be able to cope, we would have to fi ll our whole parking space with wheelie bins”.

Heaven's Door
It’s a win for everybody – the environment wins, I win and the customer wins. It’s just so easy.  I am so happy with it that when we were remodelling the bar, we did so with BottleCycler in mind and positioned it at the bar in full view of the patrons. Positioned here it saves double handling and time. It’s aesthetically pleasing and intrigues patrons when they see bottles disappearing into it.  It has generated some great responses from patrons who are pleased that we are recycling efficiently.   It has also improved the visible environment, removing the wheelie bins which were sometimes tipped over creating noise and mess on the street. It’s my new toy and I invite prospective users and licensees to come and see it behind the bar.

One Six One
For us it’s perfect. As we are a nightclub, we sell mainly stubbies and being on the first floor there is little space for rubbish. Staff  were continually moving the rubbish from the bar to the back of house and then downstairs, about every half hour.  With BottleCycler, we just take 2 bins down per night.  This has freed staff up to keep the club clean and concentrate on looking after patrons.  It has eased the pressure off everyone. It’s quiet, easy to use, we’re having less injuries caused by staff being cut by broken glass and we are pleased to be recycling efficiently.  Very glad to see the government support this initiative.
