BottleCycler Newsletter - Spring 2010

The busy Christmas and summer seasons approach fast, and venues are getting ready to welcome the swarm of merry customers in the upcoming months. BottleCycler has also been keeping busy during this winter and spring, reaching new milestones and going through some exciting changes. Read more below!

Already Half a Thousand BottleCycler Users in Australia!
BottleCycler congratulates its 500th client St Johns Park Bowling Club in Sydney for taking a step towards a greener future! St Johns Park is a well-respected bowling club with over 60 years of expertise in hospitality. It already has several environmentally friendly systems in place for saving energy, recycling water and reducing waste, with BottleCycler being the latest and next logical addition to the club’s already impressive line of environmental best practice technology.

Jason Saffy and Tehrese Johansson congratulating Jeff Morris from St Johns Park Bowling ClubJeff Morris, the Chief Operations Officer of St Johns Park, detailed the reasons behind their decision to sign up for a service agreement with BottleCycler:

"St Johns Park Bowling Club has a strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety for our employees as well the Environment. We recognised that there were significant risks to the Clubs employees with the transportation of empty bottles form the Clubs operating areas to disposal points.

Through our investigations we came across the BottleCycler product. We were impressed with the product's design, which minimized risk to our staff through the disposal and removal process of used bottles. The process has reduced storage space and in the facilities loading dock.

In addition to the above benefits, we have managed to recycle 5,005 kg of glass since March 2010, without having to colour sort one bottle. This process has also reduced our waste sent to landfill. St Johns Park is excited to be BottleCycler’s 500th customer and we are sure that there will be many more to come for this innovative product."

BottleCycler is honoured to have St Johns Park Bowling Club as its 500th client!

We at BottleCycler welcome Kevin to our team. Kevin and Hendrik van Rhijn will be working together with the aim of expanding BottleCycler into new markets.

BottleCycler at 2010 NSW Club Trade Expo
Jason Saffy and Hendrik van Rhijn at 2010 NSW Club Trade ExpoAlthough the rainy weather at 2010 NSW Club Trade Expo at the ‘usually sunny’ Gold Coast left a lot to be desired, the Trade Expo itself was exceptionally enjoyable. The visitors showed great interest in BottleCycler, subsequently resulting in our NSW Account Manager Jason Saffy crushing bottles practically non-stop in order to let everyone interested to experience the wonders of BottleCycler.

We were delighted by the good feedback and subsequently, BottleCycler would like to thank everyone who came to see BottleCycler in action making the trade show a successful one for BottleCycler. Also a big thank you to the expo organisers for a highly entertaining trade show!

If you want to catch us next year at trade shows, in March 2011 we will be at the Hospitality & Gaming Expo Australasia (HGA) in Brisbane and end of May 2011 at the Clubs & Hotels Trade Show in Melbourne, with more trade shows to follow!

CO2 Reports Increasingly Popular
BottleCycler generates free monthly CO2 emission reports for its clients, which help them monitor how effectively they have reduced their CO2 emissions by using BottleCycler. Demand for these reports has increased steadily over the years, with mostly larger venues signing up for them.

The monthly reports can, however, also be of use to smaller venues. Who would not like to know how much their venue is doing for the environment? The figures derived from the report could be used to distinguish your venue from others as the only environmentally conscious one!

If you would like to receive these free monthly reports and monitor how your CO2 emissions are reduced by using BottleCycler, simply send an email to info@bottlecycler.com to sign up!
